We explore the use of objects to understand and represent the problems. Then we draw models to represent the problems. Some key questions we ask:
1. How many coins/parts do I start with?
2. What do you do next?
3. What is for ___? and What is for ___? (May have a few of them & Label them)
4. What is for the remainder?
5. What do you do next?
6. What is for ___? and What is for ___? (May have a few of them & Label them)
7. How many equal parts now?
